Check out this amazing footage of British Kite Surfer Lewis Crathern’s death defying jump over the Brighton Pier. The 25 year old Champion Kite surfer spent over two hours fighting gale force winds waiting for just the right moment to attempt this stunt. With plenty of anxious onlookers Crathern timed his leap perfectly by launching off a huge wave that catapulted him up and over the pier, landing safely on the other side. When asked how he felt after the harrowing experience, Crathern said ‘I felt safe, I would never attempt these things if I wasn’t 100 per cent safe.’  A kite surfer for more than 17 years, Crathern was British Kite Surfing Association’s champion in 2006 and 2007.
